The Role
Reporting directly to the Postmaster General, the Director of Postal Services will provide strategic leadership and operational direction across all postal service functions. The incumbent will be responsible for revenue generation, service quality enhancement, and the seamless execution of postal-related turnaround projects and activities. This role demands a leader who can balance commercial imperatives with public service obligations while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer-centricity.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Qualifications and Experience
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related Business Leadership discipline from a recognized and accredited institution.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a Commerce-related field.
A minimum of eight (8) years of senior management experience within postal services, logistics, or a closely related sector.
Personal Attributes
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate complex concepts into practical, actionable strategies.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated success in driving postal, logistics, or business initiatives and achieving measurable outcomes.
Strong leadership presence with the capacity to motivate, mentor, and inspire teams toward achieving strategic objectives.
Familiarity with postal management methodologies and tools will be considered an added advantage.
Remuneration Package
The successful candidate will be offered a performance-based contract for an initial term of three (3) years, subject to negotiation. An attractive remuneration package, commensurate with the seniority and responsibilities of the position, will be provided.
