The Role

Reporting directly to the Postmaster General, the Director of Postal Services will provide strategic leadership and operational direction across all postal service functions. The incumbent will be responsible for revenue generation, service quality enhancement, and the seamless execution of postal-related turnaround projects and activities. This role demands a leader who can balance commercial imperatives with public service obligations while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer-centricity.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Formulate, review, and monitor policies, strategic plans, systems, and procedures.
• To ensure effective postal service delivery.
• Define and communicate clear performance targets and key result areas for the Directorate.
• Develop resource mobilization strategies and oversee their successful implementation.
• Provide leadership to guarantee efficient, reliable, and customer-focused service across all MPC outlets.
• Represent the Corporation in engagements with Government bodies, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders on postal service matters.
• Establish and nurture collaborative relationships with local and international partners, including airlines, customs authorities, and other postal and logistics entities.
• Design and maintain robust risk management frameworks for postal operations.
• Prepare and manage the Directorate's budget, ensuring financial discipline and accountability.
• Generate accurate and timely performance reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Guide and oversee the implementation of all postal service activities.

Qualifications and Experience

Master's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related Business Leadership discipline from a recognized and accredited institution.

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a Commerce-related field.

A minimum of eight (8) years of senior management experience within postal services, logistics, or a closely related sector.

Strong leadership presence with the capacity to motivate, mentor, and inspire teams toward achieving strategic objectives.

Familiarity with postal management methodologies and tools will be considered an added advantage.

Remuneration Package

The successful candidate will be offered a performance-based contract for an initial term of three (3) years, subject to negotiation. An attractive remuneration package, commensurate with the seniority and responsibilities of the position, will be provided.
