Fortress Consultants is recruiting on behalf of its client, a new beverage manufacturing company based in Blantyre, Malawi.

The Technical Project Coordinator will coordinate and supervise mechanical installation, plant commissioning, construction works and related technical project activities.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate installation, commissioning and testing of production equipment.
• Oversee and quality-check welding and fabrication works.
• Coordinate construction and civil works.
• Maintain project programmes in MS Project.
• Prepare and update factory floor plans, equipment layouts and engineering schematics in AutoCAD.
• Track project costs and prepare progress and budget reports in Excel.
• Conduct site walks and prepare progress reports and photographic records.
• Identify issues and drive their resolution.
• Enforce health and safety standards on site.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience in plant installation and commissioning.
• Experience supervising welding works and inspecting weld quality.
• Practical knowledge of construction works coordination.
• Working proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Working proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant technical experience after qualification.
